With Friends Like This...

Apparently, these photos are making their way 'round the internet these days:

(For those of you unfamiliar with Matt Bomer, he is the co-star of the show White Collar, on USA.)

Now, as pretty as these pictures are ~ and, hello, do you see the man? ~ my feelings about pretty boys are well-known by my friends. But, hey, this is what's making the rounds right now. Who am I to complain? These pictures did, however, get me into an email "conversation" with a friend about how I really prefer the other actor in the show, Tim DeKay. He's a little older, a little less pretty, a little more...something. Yeah.

And going into Day Five without Lithus home, what does my friend Denny do? Sends me these...

Just so ... not right.

Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

Hi Pobble,

Way behind here, but first, Skinny Dick's Halfway Inn is genius. Pure genius. Ha.

And I hope you had a hell of a good 4th of July - conflicted or not. They should have done great fireworks where you're at in the wilderness as it would serve as a phenomenal backdrop. I shot my own at my grandparent's place in the middle of nowwhere, the same thing that has happened for the past 20 years or so.

Finally, read that Esquire piece too & it was good.

Finally, finally, it was cool to see all yr. books listed in that one post.

Keep writing . . .

$$ ~ Skinny Dick's is even better in person. Trust me. (which is a sentence one doesn't often have occasion to write) The 4th with family sounds great, especially for 20 years. Esquire is one of my favorites; good mix of pop culture with actual reporting (and men, of course). Finally, finally, thank you. It was really cool to find they were all still selling and reasonably well, too. Keep writing as well.
