Boredom

The problem with being bored ~ soul-suckingly bored ~ is that the very act of being bored prevents you from taking the action that would alleviate the boredom.

There are things I need to do:
* Write 2000 words today
* Plot out my romance novel
* Write on the new adventure story and see where that goes
* Make my bank deposit

There are things I want to do:
* Write a couple letters
* Call about the Anchorage apartment
* Paint my nails

But I'm bored. And doing any of those things takes more energy than my boredom allows me. Go figure.

Those are (bored and boring) Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

Coffee? Just a thought.

I know your soul-sucking pain. I had that the other night - sitting on the couch and just so bored, I couldn't bring myself to want to do anything. Mrs. Pike kept suggesting things but I was just too bored to want to do them.

And in the middle of massive vacation time at work - getting the bored feeling today as well.

That's so true. I think all you can do is wait it out, until a power surge comes along. Fix yourself a beverage. Unless that's too boring too.

Sometimes boring is good to help get us back on track...
