Sunday Poll Question

Has it really been a week since I posted???? Dude...

So, once again, in chatting with the Lovely Cats, we inadvertantly came up with the Sunday Poll Question. We got to talking about who we would be if we could put in an order for reincarnation. Knowing what we know now, who or what would we request to be next time around? Honestly, after much thought, I decided I would choose to be ... myself. Which is pretty damn cool considering what I know about being the Pobble. Still, it hasn't been a bad gig. As my friends tend to say (and as coined by the Lovely Cats or Tom Cat, I forget which), It doesn't suck to be Pobble. But what if you couldn't be yourself? What if you had to choose to live a different life? Knowing what you know, what would you choose?

Pobble Answer: Although it was tempting to choose spoiled lap dog, I think I would like to be a world-renowned scientist. Or perhaps not even world-renowned. I don't have to be well-known. One Albert Einstein was enough. It would be cool, however, to make incredible scientific breakthroughs. To know that my work really changed the world, the way we think about it, the way we see it, the way we treat our illnesses or our planet or ... whatever. To experience that "eureka" moment when the thing gets isolated or proven or discovered in the lab. A really major hoo-hah scientist. Yeah, if I can't be me, that would be cool.

Your answer...

Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

Okay, this is really whacked, but I'd like to be some fitness guru. A Denise Austin type or something (but not as freakin' cheery!) And not one of those flash-in-the-pan fitness personalities like Susan Powter (Stop the Insanity!) or one of those creepy, annoying ones like Tony Little (You Can Do It!)

Does it have to be human? I'd choose to be a well cared for farm horse. Eat grass all day, hang out side with my horse buddies, go for rides with my humans, do a little work now and again to break it up a bit...I think that would be the life. If it has to be human and not me, that's hard, first things that ran through my mind, conservation wildlife biologist, have an animal rehab/shelter/farm for traumatized dogs and horses, hmm, both things I continually attempt to do on some level. Who would I be? Some crazy artist, oops, I paint too, I don't know? I'm stumped.

How about the President of the United States of America. I would END THE WAR first, they do not want us there and we do not need to have our troop killed and in harms way.
I would need some help...a political major I'm not. But we could come up with a good crew to run the country just form the your blog. On second thought maybe you should be the PREZ and i could be an adviser.

I'll take the real you anytime, my dear!

As for myself, there comes a time in life when we become comfortable with who we are and the desire to have been someone else slowly deminishes....

At 15, I wanted to be the queen of England.... well, (you know the rest)!

Hmmm.
That's an excellent question.

I think I'd like to be someone who makes a positive contribution to the world...who leaves it better than when they came in.
Perhaps a scientist (it's a good suggestion, Pobble) or a politician that really does work for the betterment of the country and the poor.

What a great question!

A tough one, but I'm going with a Thai cop. This is mostly because I just read two books by John Burdett set there, and at some point one of the characters mentions this would be a good gig because they are all making money on the side, you're almost above the law and it's a huge den of sin in various parts of the city.

So for now, I'll go with that one.
