I am so going to go buy this over the weekend with gift cards Jadette got for her birthday. It's for her, of course. Yep. I'm just gonna go with that. It's for Jadette.

In a strange cooinkiedink, I saw a t.v. show that featured how to make your own:

Step1 - Choose a mold for your sidewalk chalk. You can use toilet paper or paper towel rolls (cut in half) for larger sticks or ice cube trays, candy molds or popsicle molds for smaller ones.

Step2 - Mix equal parts tap water with plaster of Paris and stir together until smooth. The mixture will still be thick.

Step3 - Divide the mixture into parts depending upon the number of colors you want to add. Add powdered tempera paint to your sidewalk chalk until you reach the desired color.

Step4L - et colored batches stand for a few minutes and then pour them into molds.

Step5 - Allow the sidewalk chalk molds air dry completely. This could take a few hours to a few days depending upon the size mold you are using.

(copied from some web site I don't know which one)

Have it. Use it. I'm a firm believer that it's never too late to have a happy childhood!

Jaded, if you have to "help," a lot, I'm sure everyone here totally understands! :-)

Anonymous ~ I am on my way. These look cool enough by themselves. To play with them with the Grill Master... The Poo doesn't even need to be there. ;)

Jaded ~ Of course it is. Of course.

Zoooom ~ Oooooooo! Thank you! Hee hee hee

Cracker Lilo ~ I'm right there with you. Luckily, I never stopped having a happy childhood, just took it with me as I happened to add numbers to my age.

We normally buy all this kind of stuff for Juno. But we have no sidewalks, pavement or concrete. SO we'll wait to see if they're as good as the commercial. Let us know.

Every time I see sidewalk chalk, my first thought is "I want some of that", then I start to think of my aching back!~

Getting old is not at all amusing dear.... get out there, get that chalk and start having some fun!

While you're at it, write dondon009 in purple chalk and surround it with a big heart!

I love you dear.........
