Interlude

I'm not fond of this song, honestly. It's a bit depressing for me. Usually, I'm more of an AC/DC type o'gal. That being said, I have reason for posting it that has nothing to do with the song itself, only oodles and oodles of pride. The picture is irrelevant as well, although I do thank Lithus for loaning it to me. Turn up the volume, click play and Enjoy!

Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

BP: Dust in Wind from Kansas, was a hit when I was in college. It had a deeper meaning to me, not because I liked it, there was a private meaning behind the song.
It was 1979, I was an x-ray tech student and a technologist told me to go get the next patient, the patient, old and in a stretcher was not with it, and was playing with his hands in the air. I asked the Tech what was he doing, I thought he was 'playing with a bodily fluid', the tech said it was only "DUST". It was so gross, it turned out he was playing with his phlegm, every time I hear that song I think of poor old MR X, not knowing where he was or what he was doing....we did his exam and treated him with dignity , but it totally grossed me out. The song brings back memories of learning to be compassionate, caring and kind to all. A good lesson but a yucky memory to a song.

A bit depressing, yes, but brings back memories of the 1970's, and for me that's always a *very* good thing.

Crow Mother ~ You're welcome. :) Be sure to read Akakarma's comment.

Nancy ~ Okay, you're right. Gross story; GREAT lesson.

Mchristie ~ While our memories of the 70s are probably a bit different (I turned 10 in '79), I do agree it was a great time. Glad you enjoyed.

Akakarma ~ I'll pass your compliment onto Crow Mother. Thanks!

I can't get the song to play or see the pic from the office, where I'm forced to do much of my visiting of the great pobble. But, now that the comments let me know what song it is...man, does it ever take me back to my own childhood. My mom used to listen to it all the time. I always liked the song, but never knew what it was trying to say until I got much older. Back then I just figured it was some "hippie stuff". My mom was a bit o' paradox when it came to things "hippie". Her Amish background caused her to think they were "dirty", but I know for a fact she enjoyed some things "hippie."
