Oh Dear.

I think the book may be boring. Well written with great, fully developed characters, mind you. Just...boring.

Hmmm...

Need to find a way around this and quickly.

Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

And what are the elements of good story? Style, theme, plot, setting, character. If it was well written, you've got style all wrapped up. If it has fully developed characters, you've got most of character and plot wrapped up. Setting is just kind of window dressing if you ask me. That leaves theme. Romance novel? Isn't theme a given?
I bet its brilliant. Turn off your B.S. filters and let it be.

Or go back and add a chapter with transexual vampire aliens.

Too derivative?

Get Off My Lawn stole my thunder: I was going to recommend aliens at a gay bar...

Stories tell themselves. Let it go for a while and it will come to you.

(Since I really have no credible writing credentials, you will not hurt my feelings if you roll your eyes, mumble "moron", and flip your hair at me...)

GOML! ~ "Turn off your B.S. filters and let it be." I'm going to post this next to my desk as a reminder. Thanks.

Rose ~ And the same to you and yours. Hope it was happy and blessed.

DGSH ~ Meet GOML! (GOML!, this is DGSH) Apparently the two of you think very similarly. :) And while I reserve the right to roll my eyes, I cannot imagine you ever doing anything that merits the hair flip. I save that for the most horrendous of transgressions.
