I Had Forgotten

I had forgotten how much fun shopping for holiday decorations could be.

I had forgotten what it was like to enjoy finding the perfect tree for the room.

I had forgotten how much one can look forward to trimming the tree.

I had forgotten how beautiful carols are.

I had forgotten unrestrained laughter and unadulterated joy in December.

I had forgotten how joyous this time of year really is.

I had forgotten what it meant to be truly happy at Christmas.

I knew I had forgotten.

I had never thought to remember again.

I do.

Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

Awww, you gave me a little warm feeling in my heart!! I'm notoriously cranky 'bout this time of yer because the merryment feels so FORCED (to me) in so many situations. I'm heartened to see you having such an honest to goodness good time.

GOML! ~ YAY Xmas spirit indeed!

Wolfgrrrl ~ I do love me the holidays...again.

Casdok ~ My pleasure.

Traci ~ lol

Zoooom ~ I do know what you mean. My family was undeniably and legitmately Rockwellian during this time, though, and it's nice to have that feeling back.

It's never a good thing to lose those small things around the holidays, but it's even better to rekindle them again.

Nice (and I love a good Xmas tree - love).

What Graziella said--I'm so glad for you! Hope the enjoyment lasts!

$$ ~ So true! As for the tree, we are having a clash of styles: Victorian meets Kitsch. Deep red and gold ribbons and...skiing penguins. rofl and even that makes me happy.

CrackerLilo ~ Thanks. Somehow, I think this might stick. I think, anyway. And did you happen to notice in the previous post that you've been tagged?

I went shopping for decorations for my dorm door this past weekend! It's the most adorable thing ever (totally blows the other girls' doors out of the water.) Anyways, it made me so excited because when my roomie saw it, she was thoroughly over-joyed...she made me chocolate cover strawberries in payment. Well, the fun part of rooming with a Nursing Major...they're very gracious people.
