The ONE Reason I Would Consider Becoming A Mom

Overheard this evening while running errands:

Child of unknown age: Hey Mom! Come see this! Hey Mom! Hey Mom! Come here!

Mom: No.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

Kids do not here the word NO very often these days. Its nice to know its still being used to raise our future generations.
got the back done on tues, had a bad wed, thur but today i feel much better. thanks for the stopping in and I was as so nice to the staff that they left me alone....I had to do everything for myself. makes me wonder about the older folks who do not know the "system".

I like the succint "No" without any expanation behind it. Everybody's gotta have a reason, eh?

And I missed a few posts ago, but I'm glad the shirt made an appearance. Maybe if you wear it more often, then your to-do list will shrink as it will inspire mucho production.

It hasn't for me, but you never know.

This was funny at first until I remembered those days and realized that the mom probably didn't even know at that point what she was saying "no" too. You say it so frequently, for so many reasons it becomes a knee-jerk reaction. Trust me on this one...the novelty wears off very quickly.

"My NO is not going to turn into a YES".

(what me and my co-workers say in a friendly but firm voice when faced with whining...) :)
