The last couple of SPQs have been pretty serious stuff, especially last week's (sorry Two Dollar!), so this week we are going to lighten things up a bit. Nothing thought-provoking or serious and no *cough*copouts*cough* :)
Question: What is your trademark? The thing you wear, say or do that everyone relates to you, that is vintage and classic YOU?
Pobble Answer: Here in cyberspace, it would have to be my sign-off: "That and a buck fifty will get you coffee." Of course. In the "real" world however, it's probably either my lipstick or my heels. I wear one color of lipstick (Cover Girl 900). It is a rare occasion when I don't have it on if I am out of the house ~ or even sometimes at home. It is a gorgeous, rich brown that makes my whole complexion *snap*.
I am also known for my heels. I have a great (great) collection of high heels and so can pick the pair that will make an ordinary outfit ~ jeans and a t-shirt, say ~ become fabulous, dahlink. And the best part is every single pair is comfortable. No matter how uncomfortable they look, no matter how high the heel or pointy the toe, if they are on my feet, they are comfy.
Of course, if there is something else you think of as my trademark, feel free to tell me ~ but only after you've told me yours. ;)
Your answer...
Those are Pobble Thoughts. That and a buck fifty will get you coffee.

pxoeyThis is rather easy for me because I hear about it every day.
My clothes are my trademark and true to my status as a Gemini, the two personalities come out during summer and winter.
In the winter, I only wear black; shirts, jerseys, sweaters, jackets, slax, shoes, socks, underwear.... you name it. Why, because I like it!
Beginning in mid-april and ending and ending in mid-october, I go with the Jimmy Buffet look.... solid shorts with flowered shirts (Tommy Bahama)or plaid shorts (hot item this summer) with solid colored jersery, tees, etc.
Even though I hold a management position, shorts are acceptable in my workplace, this is Florida; although I will sometimes wear slacks with the flowered shirts to meetings, etc.
The only exception during the summer months would be back to basic black for funerals..... (traditionalist here).
Have a lovely day while I go SHOPPING!!!!!
don~
The letters at the beginning of my original post... pxoey was the word verification for that post...
No clue how/why they ended up there!
DON~
Good question...I can't think of anything offhand except that I wear high/chunky/platform shoes, which lead people to think I'm taller than I actually am!
I don't go anywhere without a camera, and I always have a fountain pen in my purse.
I'm not quite sure how the phenomena occurs, but people invetably start calling me "Lolly" instead of Lori. My last name used to be Jolley, and it made sense then...but that was 16 years ago, and people don't know that (unless they know my son). I recently asked a new "Lolly-transitioner" (my boss) what made him start calling me that, and he said simply, "you're just so Lolly."
I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about that.
ok, i was having some trouble with this one... and the best i could come up with is the 13 earrings i wear. though i may want more tats i now have exactly as many holes in my body as i would like.
I think one might be my outoorsyness(if there is such a word.) I have a million functional things for any type of weather condition that there could be and get particularly excited about putting myself in extreme situations. I'm sure there are others, but that's one that comes to mind. Oh, that and greyhound tattoo's.
So you think this is better, eh? Ha. I can't think of mine at all (Viking perhaps), and now I will have to spend a lot of time trying to figure one out.
Thanks Pobble. Let's go back to discussions on 3rd world issues or something else next week. Ha.
My shoes, purses, clothes, and car!
First off: Car!
My caribbean blue Ford ZX2 is a defining feature for me because Gracie (my car) is deffinitely like me. Looks sporty but really is a neat, little friendly car that just wants to go places. The color will get dirty easily but with a simple wash, she's as good as new.
Second: Clothes
I wear jeans...a lot...if it isn't jeans, it better be some cotton jazz pants or something of the sort because navigating a skirt and being lady like is rather hard to do when you kick ass all day long...because I do kick ass all day long in my own teenage way.
Thirdly: Purse
This has been a recent thing, and by recent, by last November. I picked up an Alice in Wonderland book, she's in her delightful dress talking to the flowers in that oh so lovely scene in the movie (I would say book but it has the Alice from the movie not the book on it) and even more recent (today!) would be a purse I got that's black with unicorns and rainbows on it...me!
Fourth: Shoes
My heel collection and set of cool shoes could own most people's faces save three that I know of: two of my friends where I live and you, my dear Pobble. Otherwise, my heel collection and cornucopia of shoes pwns hardcore.
Hi Pobble
I could only narrow it down to two, either the computers that I have in just about every room with parts strewn everywhere (the table my phone sits on is actually an old 486) or more likely the dragons I collect that are also strewn everywhere...
Hmmm...
Well, I have been known for having a filthy laugh and a wicked sense of humour. But, there are also my "new words for the new century"... check my blog for the definition for my new favourite - hypotwit.
My catchphrase would be, "You ARE the weakest link, g'bye!"
I've been told more than once that I'm like the male version of Anne Robinson, must be why my favourite catchphrase is hers.
Other than that, I'm know for my fountain pens and books, I still write most of my posts in longhand before they go online.
My boots and my cowboy hat are my trademarks.
I went into my son's school one day wearing a light spring dress and pink sandal/heals and had my hair in a pink headband.
People. Were. Amazed.
